I love the passionate but delicate purple colors of orchid. I also love the geometric way that flowers are constructed, and how interesting patterns emerge if you mix and match cross sections of the flowers with kaleidoscope effects. This is a digital manipulation - first in a series - of an orchid photograph with a mandala-like kaleidoscope effect applied.
