Description
The red Ashland covered bridge, also known as the Barley Mill Bridge, is the oldest covered bridge in Delaware. I loved visiting this bridge a few years ago, and it never failed to take my breath away. I loved seeing it snow, on rainy days, on foggy days, or any day.
This part of Delaware - near Wilmington, Newark, Greenville, Hockessin, and Yorklyn - is woodsy and peaceful, with beautiful rolling hills, forests, farms, and quaint shops. Many wild birds, including woodpeckers and owls, inhabit the forests. This image is derived from my original photograph with some digital painting effects and additional touchups applied. I hope it will enjoy having prints, clothing, or decor items in your home.
