A visit to Orcas Island in Washington State is not complete without a visit to Moran State Park and Mount Constitution. Whether you hike up or drive up, the vista is breathtaking, with views of the hillside,, foliage, and the water and other San Juan Islands below. The San Juans, accessible only by ferry or airplane, have a special sense of living in the moment of salt, sea, and air to me.
