I love the way large allium flowers capture the light and provide intricate flowerlets. The soft purple color looks so amazing on a late spring afternoon. I spotted these "blooming onions" in a public flower garden near me, and I loved the colors of the flowers behind them. This image is based on an original photograph with painterly effects applied.
